i think i read somewhere on here that all the episodes from 1952-1963/1964 are in the public domain.

Yep, all TV shows made after 1964 with proper copyright notices were automatically renewed.

The most Ozzie and Harriet episodes I've seen anyone offering is 206.

That makes sense. I know that copyrights on movies released in 1964 or later didn't have to be renewed.

Many episodes lack a valid copyright notice (they have "Copyright by Ozzie Nelson"), but I haven't checked to see whether any 1964 or later episodes have invalid notices.

I just looked at Season 13, Episode 23: Breakfast for Harriet (Original Air Date—24 February 1965).

"Copyright by Ozzie Nelson"

Invalid because the year is missing.
